The South Carolina Academy of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery Welcomes You

Welcome to the official web site of the South Carolina Academy of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery! We are proud to be a nationally recognized physician member organization dedicated to the field of dermatology. Please read below to learn more about our organization and the features of this site.

The membership is composed of Board-certified or Board-eligible dermatologists from across South Carolina. Residents-in-training are supported by the provision of free registration at all Association-sponsored educational meetings. The Association represents a diverse group of highly skilled and qualified dermatologists, dermatologic surgeons, dermatopathologists and academic researchers from the state’s three major University research institutions. Many are educators involved in the training of young physicians and other medical professionals.

Our Mission Statement:

To unite those practicing the specialty of dermatology into one effective organization for the purposes of promoting education and advancing the science and art of dermatology in South Carolina.

If you are looking for a dermatologist, our "Find a Doctor" menu, above, can assist you in locating our physician members throughout the state. You can browse our member database or search by zip code. Many members have created online profiles that describe their practices, services offered and special qualifications.

The Resources page will help you connect to a wide variety of well-respected resources where you can access additional information related to dermatology.

If you are a dermatologist and are interested in becoming a member, please visit our Become a Member page to learn how to apply for membership.

Already a member? Please visit our Members Area to register on the site, create your online profile and access the members-only online user forum. You may also manage your online account.

The SCADDS holds an annual educational meeting each spring during the months of April or May. The format includes a variety of guest lectures from renowned clinicians or researchers, a technical exhibit display and a business meeting. You can get more information about upcoming meetings from the Meetings page.

The SCADDS supports the Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners of South Carolina with a special category of membership that recognizes the hard work they do and the dedication these practitioners have to their sponsoring physicians as well as their patients.
