Physicians who are not otherwise eligible for active membership, nurse practitioners and physician assistants shall be eligible for Associate membership
in the Association.
A nurse practitioner or physician assistant may continue Associate membership as long as he or she is affiliated with a physician member in good standing of the South Carolina Academy of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery.
Applicants for Associate membership must be proposed by one active member and seconded by another active member. Applications shall be voted upon by the general membership at a regular meeting following proposal and seconding, with election requiring a two-thirds (2/3) majority for passage.
Associate members shall have all of the privileges of membership except those of holding office, making motions and voting. The privileges of Associate membership shall remain in effect as long as dues are current and the associate member's status both professionally and personally does not create risk of discredit to the Association.
IMPORTANT: If this is the first time you're applying for a SCADDS membership, please fill out the Associate Membership Form
and submit it by mail at least 30 days before the next annual meeting, otherwise your membership can not be approved. Not necessary for membership renewals.
